Pudding Shots = Amazing

Last weekend I was introduced to what I firmly believe to be the epitome of adult desserts- the jello pudding shot (thank you Andrea!). It is now time for you to try them too. Since the base is pudding they need a bit of time to chill in order to increase their overall deliciousness, but they are super quick and easy to prepare once you figure out exactly what concoctions you will be creating.
In my laboratory!
For each of the following recipes simply whisk the instant pudding packet, alcohol, and cream together until smooth. The whipped cream is stirred in lightly before transferring the pudding to their individual containers.

[Tip #1] I used cream (half n half) instead of milk and added whipped cream to each recipe to create a more firm pudding and combat the soup-y-ness caused by the alcohol.

[Tip #2] Freezing the pudding shots is also an alternative. Doing so will make a more milkshake-like consistency.

[Tip #3] To determine the overall amount of "liquid" required, I followed the suggestion on the box to make the pudding pie. Again, this modification is to keep the pudding firm.

[Tip #4] These recipes are not intended for amateurs. The alcohol is masked for the most part, but if you like pansy drinks, chances are you will want to reduce the amount of alcohol called for in the recipe.

Mint Oreo
1 (large) cookies n cream pudding package
1/4 cup creme de menthe
1/4 cup creme de cacao
1/2 cup vodka
3/4 cup cream
4 oz cool whip folded in

Rating=
T- 4 spoonfuls, suggestion: remove creme de menthe
D- 3.5 spoonfuls with great potential! Suggestion is to reduce creme de menthe to 1/8 cup. It tasted a little too minty fresh, but I refuse to remove the mint completely.

French Vanilla Cappuccino
1 (small) french vanilla pudding package
1/4 cup creme de cacao
1/4 cup amaretto
1/2 cup kahlua
3/4 cup cream
4 oz cool whip folded in

Rating=
T- 3 spoonfuls, suggestion: replace kahlua with vodka
D- 4 spoonfuls, suggestion: reduce kahlua to 1/4 cup, or remove completely and change the name!

Mocha Fudgy Latte
1 (small) chocolate fudge pudding package
1/2 cup kahlua
1/2 cup whipped cream infused vodka
3/4 cup cream
4 oz cool whip folded in
Rating=
T- 4 spoonfuls
D- 5 spoonfuls, this was our favorite. It was strong, but the alcohol was hidden well.

Irish Pudding Bomb
1 (small) devils food pudding package
1/2 cup vodka
1/2 cup irish cream
3/4 cup cream
4 oz cool whip folded in

Rating=
T- 3.5 spoonfuls
D- 3.5 spoonfuls, suggestion: reduce vodka to 1/4 cup, add 1/4 cup milk. The alcohol was very present in the flavor.

  Top Left= French Vanilla Cappuccino
Top Right= Irish Pudding Bomb
Bottom Right= Mint Oreo
Bottom Left= Mocha Fudgy Latte (Tasters' Choice)

The following two recipes are the original flavors that I was introduced to last weekend. I didn't make them myself,  but they were definitely tasty and worth passing on.

Mint Chocolate Chip
1 (small) chocolate pudding package
3/4 cup milk
1/4 cup baileys
1/4 cup vodka
1/4 cup peppermint shnapps
8 oz cool whip

Root Beer Float
1 (small) vanilla pudding package
3/4 cup milk
1/2 cup root beer shnapps
1/4 cup vodka
8 oz cool whip

  3. I love how as you are putting alcoholic recipes together you are sipping on a Mojito. Trying recipes as you make new recipes. I like your style.
